What is this?
Harvey KM6YFD will be running another Parks On the Air training class at the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area (POTA Park K8325) ON May 22nd. He will be there about 8 AM setting up my HF equipment, antennas, power and solar panels. If you are new to ham radio and would like to see what Parks On The Air is all about, come on out and we can put you on the air. If you are already have a General class or Extra class license, we would suggest that you register with Parks On The Air first (at parksontheair.com) and we can get you on the air and work on your first Park activation. If you are only a Technician class, we can still get you on the air to see if you like it. You would most likely be operating on another operators’ license, but it would give you the flavor of Parks On The Air and if this would be something that you might enjoy.
If you are new to HAM RADIO, this might give you a brief idea on the hobby. New enthusiast always have questions on equipment, procedures, processes, best methods, etc. Come out and see what we have and ask away. We may not have all of the answers, but hopefully enough to get you excited and into the hobby.
