Effective July 1, 2026, the newly revised 2026–2030 NCVEC Technician Class (Element 2) question pool will officially take effect for all introductory amateur radio license examinations. All Volunteer Examiner (VE) teams nationwide are required to use this updated database for tests administered on or after the transition date, meaning candidates testing in July or later must ensure their study guides and practice software align with the new criteria.

The updated question pool contains 409 questions, a slight reduction from the 412 in the previous syllabus, due to minor administrative adjustments and wording modernizations. Candidates, instructors, and training coordinators can download the complete text of the new questions, correct answer keys, and required schematic diagrams directly from the official NCVEC website at https://ncvec.org.
