About this event
This is the fall Support Your Parks event for Parks On The Air. This will be held at Millerton Lake SRA, near the Fresno County side of the lake and the boat launch area. I hope to be set up and running by 8 to 9 AM with my radio and at least 3 antennas.
The only services available is a set of restrooms so if you come out, please be sure to bring adequate supplies of food and water for yourself for the time that you will be out there.
I tend to treat this like a miniature Field Day where I will have my radio set up, along with 3 to 4 different antennas. I can also bring a solar power setup if anyone is interested. If so, please let me know before hand. I can also demonstrate FT8 for those of you that are interested. This is intended to be an opportunity to see a remote HF radio setup, along with different types of antennas and power solutions. This is not intended to demonstrate the "only" or "best way", but to give you an idea of one possible way.
